My name is Walid Eskandarani, founder of VALID EDGE and the barber behind ValidFadezz.

My journey started at 14, learning to cut hair through practice, persistence and the ambition to build something of my own. Over five years later, that drive has grown into a career combining barbering, education and entrepreneurship — with the craft remaining at the centre of everything I do.

Along the way, I’ve competed in several barbering competitions, earning first place in Creative Cut at the OS Fair Barber Battle. Today, I represent HeadBrands, StyleCraft and Gamma+, sharing my work through education, content and industry collaborations.

Creating VALID EDGE was a natural next step: bringing my experience behind the chair and my entrepreneurial mindset into a brand with a wider purpose. My vision is to connect professional tools, practical education and a shared ambition to raise the standard of everyday work.

Education has been part of my journey for years, through both group workshops and one-to-one sessions. My approach goes beyond demonstrating a haircut — I share the reasoning behind each decision, the mistakes I’ve learned from and the techniques I use with real clients. Demonstration, guided practice and individual feedback are central to how I teach.

As founder and educator, my aim with VALID EDGE Academy is to help barbers develop precision, confidence and the independence to make the craft their own.

My name is Oliver White, originally from the UK and raised in Malmö. I was born into a barbering family whose story began in Manchester in 1929, when my great-grandfather, Clarence White, opened the family’s first barbershop.

My own journey started at 15, studying haircutting techniques online and practising on friends in my mother’s kitchen after school. What began as something I enjoyed grew into a genuine love for the craft and a commitment to developing my skills.

That journey led me to become a BaBylissPRO ambassador and open STUDIO WHITE — my own barbershop, created in honour of my family and my great-grandfather, continuing the legacy of White’s Barbering into a new generation.

As my career developed, so did my passion for sharing what I had learned. My education focuses on the fundamentals of barbering: understanding structure and shape, developing precise technique and achieving consistency behind the chair.

For me, teaching is not simply about showing someone how to perform a haircut, but helping them understand the principles behind it. My aim is to give others a strong foundation while encouraging them to develop their own style, confidence and passion for the craft.

I'm a professionally trained hairstylist and barber with over 7 years of experience in the industry. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to develop my skills and build my experience in some of Scandinavia's leading cities, including Stockholm and Copenhagen.

My journey in hairstyling and barbering has always been driven by passion, precision, creativity, and a constant desire to improve. Working in different environments and alongside talented professionals has given me valuable experience and a deeper understanding of the craft.

Along the way, I developed a new passion — educating others and sharing the knowledge I've gained throughout my journey. What started through social media, sharing techniques, tips, and insights, has now grown into something I want to take to the next level through the academy.
